Superstar Bartenders on a Global Tour

Our favourite soda pop playground, PS40, hosted two jet setting booze-slingers for a POP-up showing off some of the skills and drinks honed in the Singaporean crown jewels of cocktail culture, Employees Only Singapore and 28 Hong Kong Street.

Michael D. Callahan representing Employees Only and Celia Schoonraadflying the flag for 28 HongKong Street sure laid down some work on the Sydney social crew last night. Treasure chest cocktails heavily featuring Plantation Rums were on flow from the combined family designed menu. Sass, team spirit and infectious friendly faces were on overflow. Flowers and homemade marshmallows garnished the tippling with plenty of tattoos on show from the arms that served it up.

It was like a reunification of new and old faces from the pages of Australian Bartender magazine as the room filled by 8p. People came from all over to get a taste, a look and what they saw they liked. By 9.30p the room was packed wall to wall and the shirts came off behind the bar to see pumpkin hour close – just a little too soon for most. Goes to show, a good POP-up really does pull a good crowd. Ten points for teamwork!
